The Big Picture

Lately, I have been trying to describe how someone can understand the Bible and the walk of faith in Jesus. I find myself comparing it to a Jigsaw Puzzle! If I gave you a 1000 piece Jigsaw puzzle to put together and only give you 500 pieces of the puzzle do you think you could tell me what the full puzzle picture looked liked when you finished it?

I imagine this scenario with the result of someone looking at me with some confusion! Maybe they could try and guess that it was a beautiful landscape with trees but what if the other 500 pieces revealed that there was also a meadow full of yellow flowers? If they don't see it they don't know!

Maybe the 500 pieces they have to work with show a sunny day? I ask them, "Do you think this is a happy scene?" They may see it as a happy scene....but when I give them the other 500 pieces they may show a girl sitting on a bench crying!

The point I am trying to make is that reading only bits and pieces of the Bible or just half the Bible will leave you guessing and wondering and maybe even confused!

The "BIG PICTURE" would be when you fully engulf yourself with the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelations only then will you have all the pieces to this beautiful "puzzle" and then fully see the BIG PICTURE!
